Stanley Safari Lodge

This camp is set on a hill to the east of the Falls themselves as such it has spectacular views of the spray from the Falls in the foreground and then extensive views stretching away to Zimbabwe, Botswana and even Namibia in the distance. The view really does come close to making up for the fact that this lodge is set away from the main river.

There are open suites and also standard cottages, the semi-formal gardens are a great place to enjoy breakfasts and the central open fronted main area that overlooks the pool, the gardens and the aforementioned view is well designed and furnished.

This camps was originally built by a Belgian couple who ran it for a number of years it was then taken over by Robin Pope Safaris as their Livingstone base. The high standards present throughout this company’s portfolio of properties in Zambia and Malawi are not forgotten in this camp.

This camp is priced slightly below most of its up-market competitors and is a great option, they offer the full menu of activities that are available around the Livingstone area, all of these can be organised on your arrival in camp and are charged extra.

The transfer time from Livingstone airport is about 20 minutes and the camp is about 10 minutes from the Falls themselves.
