Zambian Ground Handlers

Day 1

Upon arrival at Lusaka International Airport you will be met by our representative and assisted with immigration and customs procedures. You will then be directed to the domestic check-in counters for your flight to Mfuwe in the South Luangwa, this flight will take just over an hour.

Day 1 – 5       

Nkonzi Camp

On Arrival at Mfuwe Airport after a 1hr 10 minutes flight from Lusaka, you will be met by your guide and the safari will start before you even arrive in camp.  The journey to Nkonzi Camp takes you first through villages before entering the National Park, you will then proceed along the “05 Road”, away from the main game-viewing area and into the heart of the Park.  This small intimate camp is set on the dry Mushilashi River and has this area of the Park pretty much to itself.

Accommodation is in fairly simple, Meru-style tents, whilst the camp is comfortable enough the emphasis here is on the safari experience rather than the frills of camp.  Your game-viewing will be a mixture of walking and driving safaris but an emphasis will be placed on exploring the area on foot.

Day 5 – 9       

Luambe Camp

Your drive from Nkonzi Camp will follow the eastern bank of the Luangwa River upstream for some 4 hours to the remote and little visited Luambe National Park.  Your home for the next 4 nights sits on the bank of the Luangwa River and gives you exclusive access to this Park, you are very unlikely to come across anyone that isn’t also staying in this small 4 tent camp.

Day 9 - 11      

Chundukwa Camp

Your drive back to Mfuwe Airport will take about 4 hours and the flight from here to Livingstone will route via Lusaka.  Livingstone, the home of the Victoria Falls is your final destination on this safari.  You will be met at the airport and driven for about half an hour, up-stream where you will find Chundukwa on a high bank commanding wonderful views of the Zambezi River.  Accommodation is in open-fronted rooms set on stilts over the river.  There are numerous activities in the Livingstone area that can be arranged from camp.

Day 11

A half hour road transfer will return you to Livingstone International Airport where you will connect to your onward flight.

• Full board accommodation and all safari & in-house activities.
• National Park entry fees whilst at Nkonzi and Luambe camps
• A full-day tour of town and the Falls as well as a sunset-cruise at Chundukwa.
• Airport and inter-camp transfers.
• Domestic flights and departure taxes.

• Visa fees for entry to Zambia
• $20 entry fees for the Victoria Falls
• Drinks whilst at Nkonzi camp
• Gratuities and items of personal nature
