Lilayi Lodge is about 45 minutes - 1 hour away from the Lusaka International Airport, as with anything in Lusaka this journey is dependent on traffic.
The deluxe chalets sleep two people comfortably. Each unit consists of an open plan, en suite bedroom with a tastefully furnished lounge.
The family chalets consist of two double bedrooms, each en suite, and can comfortably accommodate a family of 4 people, namely 2 adults and 2 children. Each chalet has a furnished lounge, allowing for relaxation after family meals and activities. The amenities in each chalet at Lilayi include LED satellite television, wireless Internet connection, bar fridge and coffee/tea station.
Lilayi Lodge is home to the Elephant Orphange. These baby elephants are fed a milk formula every 3 hours. The lunch time feeding can be viewed daily by the public between 11h30 - 13h00 from the viewing platform located near the entrance to the Lilayi Game Park. There is a small fee charged for this activity which is a donation towards the project.
As an in-house guest of Lilayi Lodge you have the unique opportunity to go Behind The Scenes “BTS” and get a first hand look at the project as well as contribute to the conservation efforts by assisting the elephant keepers in caring for these baby Elephants. The charge for this unique experience goes 100% towards the project and wildlife conservation in Zambia.
