Situated on the banks of the Kafue River, Mawimbi Bush Camp is a small owner-run camp with just four spacious tented suites, offering a quiet and intimate safari experience in one of Zambia's least explored wilderness areas.
The main area looks out over the river and provides a comfortable place to relax between activities, while evenings are often spent around the campfire listening to the sounds of the bush.
The four tented suites are well spaced along the riverbank, each with uninterrupted views across the Kafue. Guests can choose between extra-length king or twin beds, and every suite features an en-suite bathroom, separate toilet and an open-air shower. Private decks include both a plunge pool and a heated tub, making them an enjoyable spot to spend time during the warmer part of the day or in the evening after returning from safari.
Although designed primarily for couples, one child aged 14–17 can comfortably share a suite with two adults.
