Set in the central area of the Kafue this camp is most easily accessed by road transfer from Lusaka which will take just 3 hours. It is a middle budget property well suited for those wanting an initial taste of the Kafue.
There are 8 brick and thatch chalets plus two riverside family villas at the main camp then a short distance up-stream there are 4 very comfortable and luxurious tented units, these are priced the same as the rest of camp but are superior and tend to be reserved for international guests that might be combining Mukambi with one or both of its sister bush-camps.
Activities are as one would expect a mixture of game-drives, walks and boating.
The lodge is an ideal starting point to a Kafue experience, they also operate Fig-Tree Bushcamp and a bush-camp on the Busanga Plains offering a variety of well-priced combination packages.
