This lodge is a little larger than most in the area, it has 15 rooms (all with Wi-Fi) sleeping 30 guests in Deluxe and Presidential suites. The deluxe tents are very well appointed, large and spacious with private decks, king-sized beds, veranda's overlooking the river and their own plunge pools. The Presidential rooms go just that bit further and are 156 sq. metres with private sitting rooms, shady veranda's overlooking the river, spacious en-suite bathrooms, outside showers, copper baths, private salas and a plunge pool - pushing luxury to an even higher level. There is a family deluxe suite which is fairly new, this is 2 adjoining units (room 6 & 7) which are interconnected with an outdoor lounge area and plunge pool, this room sleeps 4-5 people comfortably.
The lodge is situated just outside the western boundary of the Lower Zambezi National Park and is relatively well priced for what it offers. Royal airstrip which is the easiest route through which to access the camp is just a few hundred meters behind camp, it is also possible to drive from Lusaka to Chirundu and then boat into camp, this journey would take about 4 – 4.5 hours in total.
There is an excellent spa on site with two air conditioned treatment rooms, an outdoor treatment area, a steam room and a Jacuzzi.
The usual variety of activities that one would expect in the Lower Zambezi are all offered.
