The camp is set on private land adjacent to the National Park on a bend in the river, it is simple by design with reed and thatch chalets under shady trees. Whilst guests are not immersed in the sophisticated trappings that many safari camps offer these days you will want for nothing and the care and attention to detail is akin to staying in a private family home.
There are 6 grass and thatch chalets one of which is a family suite with an open-plan 2 room set-up that has one bathroom out back. The camp is ideal for families with teenage kids, in part because of this family suite but also because there are just a few more activity options available here than one finds in most camps. One favourite is a trip on mountain bikes to the local village and school.
The camp becomes inaccessible in the rains so is only open from the 1st of May through towards the end of November. John and Carol Coppinger tend to migrate during the rainy months to their 2nd home in Lusaka.
