Tanyati is a set of three private villas set around the main building which houses the communal areas as well as another self-contained bedroom. It is right on the river-bank up-stream from the Falls themselves, if is almost adjacent to its sister camp the highly regarded Mukwa Lodge. The property was a privately owned holiday home until the owners of Mukwa took it over in late 2024 and renovated the property. They have successfully instilled it with the style and attention to detail that is so apparent throughout all the properties in the Residence Portfolio and like all their other properties, it too has a baby-grand piano and accompanying pianist.
This is the perfect property for small family groups or friends travelling together, it can accommodate up to 8 adults and 2 children in the 4 bed-rooms, it is sold only as an exclusive property and is priced for a minimum of 4 people. In our opinion the homely feel and the extra facilities, there is a gym, a spa and a wonderful little cinema room make this an absolute shoe-in for small groups wanting 2 or more nights in the Livingstone area, there really is no better option. One of the owners Aaron, who’s passion for food knows no bounds, has ensured that every meal taken at Tanyati, whether on the veranda, by the pool or out on the Zambezi River itself, is a culinary experience that will live long in the memory. The food along with the convivial hospitality of your hosts make this wonderful property one of our favourites in the area.
